Josh Winger
Wealth Advisor
Josh Winger joined the Russell Total Wealth and Wellness team in May 2022 as an intern and, following his graduation from UD in May 2023, became a member of the Wealth Management Team as a Wealth Advisor. Since then, Josh has passed his Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 66 and Life and Health Insurance exams.
While in school, Josh enjoyed getting involved with various intramural sports and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), where he prepared free tax returns for those making $60,000 or less, those with disabilities, and those who are limited English-speaking taxpayers.
Josh wanted to enter the world of finance and investments due to his grandpa, who taught personal finance and economics at UD for over 30 years. His grandpa was a very humble and driven person, and Josh would like to model that attitude and follow in his footsteps. In addition to his grandpa, his dad works at UD in the IT department and his younger brother is studying graphic design at UD.
He enjoys the field because of how it can help people in otherwise difficult circumstances. Finance and financial planning can be difficult topics for many to understand, and it gives him great joy when he explains a concept not originally understood. Josh takes great pride in knowing he works hard to help clients feel more confident in their retirement.
Outside of work, Josh is a fan of various sports teams, as he played baseball through high school. He enjoys cheering on UD basketball, the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes football teams, and the Cincinnati Reds.
